Public Reading Anxiety: A Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention

Resultado de imagen de leer en claseReading anxiety is an unpleasant emotional reaction that affects 20% of children and adolescents, especially for fear of being evaluated. In the latest issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents, there is a study of a cognitive-behavioural intervention conducted with a 17-year-old adolescent that may be very useful for clinical practice. After the intervention, consisting of a total of 27 sessions, a significant improvement was obtained in the adolescent’s fluency and reading comprehension. The complete work can be consulted here.
